The scope of the advice

Guides describe routines that worked on the networks they were tested on. Yours may differ in ways nobody can see from here, so treat every ticket as a starting point rather than a guarantee. You act on your own judgement.

Authorised use only

Every tool on this board is legal and useful — pointed at networks you administer or have written permission to examine. Pointing them at anyone else's network is where the fun stops and the liability starts. This site exists for the first case only.

Trademarks and screenshots

Angry IP Scanner, LizardSystems Network Scanner and SolarWinds Engineer's Toolset belong to their respective owners, who neither run nor endorse this board. Screenshots come from vendor materials and stay their property.

Downloads

“Take” buttons hand off to official vendor distributions through a delivery helper. LanScan365 hosts no files, modifies none, and answers for neither the installer's behaviour nor the vendor's licence terms. Read those terms before running anything.

Liability

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Nothing written here makes LanScan365 liable for misconfigured shares, scanned neighbours or lost Tuesday evenings.
